Daily Trekking

This is a spectacular day trekking tour on the southwestern slopes of Taurus Mountains.The route is within the extended part of Lycian Way.It offers you a variety of sightseeing en route such as hidden ancient citites and mountan villages that surrounded by rich flora and  fauna.

The tour can be combined with other day trips or extended to 2 days walk with an overnight camping and climbing.

ITINERARY

Walk from Hisarçandır to Typallia (11km/ descend 350m /ascend 610m)

Meet our tour guide and driver at the hotel.We drive to Hisarçandır village.We start  walking on a dirt road and follow a goat path through the Turkish pine trees(pinus brutia) and descend to river bed.It is a spectacular path decorated with wild orchids and a glimse of late roman castle on the hilltop.We can enjoy a short swim in the river before the challenging climb.The route lead us through the oak trees to Çitdibi village.We have a picnic lunch in the village.Then we ascend to Typallia.It was one of the mountainous garrison city of Lycians.Typallia was  as a rural district of Trebenna.According to surface excavations the earliest settlements date back to 3.century BC.Like other cities they reach the zenith in the Roman imperial period 2.century AD.We see decorated sarcophagi and a villa type roman bath ruins overlooking  the green valleys.We meet our bus here and drive to Antalya.On the way back we stop at Konyaaltı beach to relieve the tiredness.Return to hotel.
